Joan Berzoff, MSW, Ed.D is Professor and Co-Director of the Doctoral Program at Smith college School for Social Work.  she is the co-author of Inside Out and Outside In: Psychodynamic Clinical Theory and Practice in Contemporary Multicultural Contexts and Dissociative Identity Disorders: The Controversy in Diagnosis and Treatment, both published by Jason Aronson Press.  She is the recipient of a Social Work Leadership Award from the Project on Death in America of the Open Society Institute and the director of the End-of-Life Care Certificate Program at Smith School for Social Work.  She is developing a textbook on end of life care for social workers and has created a master's level social work course in end-of-life care.  She was recently elected as a distinguished scholar in the National Academies of Practice in Social Work.  Joan is also in private practice in Northampton, Massachusetts.
